Elevate Destinations a social profit travel company specializing in customized, luxury trips that "give back" to international organizations. An innovative company firmly situated at the intersection of expensive taste and principles, Elevate Destinations caters to high-end travelers for whom mission matters. This is not ecotourism as it's been traditionally defined. In fact, the itineraries Elevate Destinations plans are extraordinary, once-in-a-lifetime adventures. Company founder Dominique Callimanopulos describes her service as "ecoluxury." Recognizing travel and tourism dollars are an important revenue stream for many impoverished countries, Elevate Destinations ensures a percentage of each trip is given directly to local non-profit organizations to sustain grassroots community efforts and make a bigger impact. The company has retained emkpr to launch three new exclusive itineraries to the national travel press: a honeymoon safari on the Kenyan coast, a sailing trip off the coast of India, and a meditation and yoga retreat in a private palace in India.

Smiling Kids, Inc. is a young charity that provides birthday gifts to children and teens who might not otherwise receive them. emkpr designed a local campaign to publicly launch the charity and secured coverage in The Boston Sunday Globe, the MetroWest Daily News, Bay State Parent, and the Wayland Town Crier. To the surprise of the organization's president and co-founder, the charity received a number of unsolicited donations that were a direct result of the press coverage. In 2005, Smiling Kids expects to provide nearly 1,000 birthday gifts. In the coming months, emkpr will be working to roll out a new "party with a purpose" initiative designed to introduce children to the concept of charitable giving.
